Lidl Ireland procures €136m from Cork suppliers in 2025

Lidl Ireland procured more than €136 million in goods and services from Cork suppliers during 2025, representing significant investment in the county's food and agriculture sectors. The procurement volume supports over 40 Cork-based producers across dairy, meat, bakery, fresh produce and other product categories supplied to Lidl stores nationally and internationally.

The Cork.ie reported that the €136 million figure forms part of Lidl Ireland's broader €2 billion annual spending with Irish suppliers nationwide. Cork suppliers benefit from both domestic sales through Lidl's Irish store network and export opportunities through the retailer's European distribution channels.

Cork-based suppliers provide products including dairy items, beef, pork, poultry, bakery goods, vegetables and processed foods to Lidl's procurement system. The retailer maintains direct sourcing relationships with producers ranging from large-scale processors to family-owned operations, providing volume commitments and multi-year contracts.

Lidl's procurement model in Cork includes participation in Bord Bia Quality Assurance schemes and adherence to sustainability standards across the supply chain. The company works with suppliers on production planning, quality management and capacity development to meet both domestic and export market requirements.
