FutureRange has completed the acquisition of Echo IT, strengthening its operational footprint in Munster as organisations increase spending on cyber security, cloud and managed technology services. For procurement teams, the transaction reflects continued supplier consolidation in the IT services market as buyers seek larger, security-focused partners capable of supporting increasingly complex digital environments.

Irish Tech News reported that the acquisition marks FutureRange’s second deal of 2026 and builds on an expansion strategy that includes plans to create up to 50 jobs over the next 24 months. Echo IT, based in Nenagh, supports customers across sectors including veterinary, medical, agri-food and distribution, and will be integrated into FutureRange’s Limerick operations.

The acquisition broadens FutureRange’s regional delivery capabilities while maintaining continuity for existing customers. The company operates as a security-first managed services provider, with capabilities spanning cyber security, cloud infrastructure, managed IT and data and AI adoption, areas that continue to rank highly in procurement priorities as organisations modernise operations and strengthen resilience.

Danny McEntee, managing director of FutureRange, said the acquisition forms part of the company’s all-island growth strategy and reflects increasing demand for partners able to deliver security, clarity and long-term technology support. He said Echo IT’s regional relationships and aligned service approach supported a strong strategic fit.

Donal Bray, managing director of Echo IT, said joining FutureRange would allow the business to maintain its client-focused approach while giving customers access to broader expertise and a more resilient service platform.

The transaction adds further scale to FutureRange’s procurement offering as businesses increasingly seek consolidated technology partners capable of managing multiple operational requirements through a single supplier relationship.
