Compass Group Ireland wins dual awards at National Procurement Awards 2025

Awarded for innovation and collaboration in 2025, Compass Group Ireland secured two awards at the National Procurement Awards 2025, winning Most Innovative Use of Technology Award and Best Procurement Collaboration Project of the Year – Commercial & Consumer for their transformative approach to digital procurement and sustainable food sourcing.

The Most Innovative Use of Technology Award recognised Foodbuy Online, a purpose-built digital procurement platform that has redefined operational efficiency across the organisation's purchasing infrastructure. The platform addresses systemic procurement challenges through architectural design that prioritises visibility, consistency, and speed across core purchasing lines.

The Best Procurement Collaboration Project of the Year – Commercial & Consumer accolade recognised the organisation's partnership with Atlantis of Kilmore Quay and BIM on Integrating Underutilised Irish Fish, an initiative that transformed underused local fish species into sustainable culinary opportunities while reducing costs and supporting Irish suppliers.

Judges praised both the technological vision and collaborative impact of the initiatives. "Foodbuy Online wowed our judges with their game-changing digital procurement solution, turning complex challenges into streamlined, efficient processes," the panel stated.

Meanwhile, the collaboration project further demonstrated strategic partnership excellence. "Compass Group Ireland, Atlantis of Kilmore Quay & BIM was commended for an inspiring collaboration that turned underused Irish fish into a sustainable culinary opportunity. Bringing chefs, suppliers, and partners together, the project cut costs, championed local resources, and showcased innovative, environmentally conscious menu solutions," the judges added.
