  • 50 word entry summary (300 characters MAX): Summary of your entry written in the 3rd person. This will be used in the Awards' event guide.
  • 2 high-quality JPEG photos: These will represent your entry in the Awards' AV presentation.
  • A high-quality JPEG version of your organisation logo.
  • Trophy Recipient: We require the name and position of the person accepting the trophy on your organisation's behalf should you be successful.
  • Maximum File Size: No more than 8 MB for each item.

Overall Excellence in Procurement

The flagship Overall Excellence in Procurement award recognises exceptional achievement.

The award is presented to the organisation or team that has undertaken the most successful project or activity, and helped raise procurement’s profile to the rest of the business world.

You cannot formally enter this category; the recipient of this award will be selected out of the other category winners.


Procurement Leader 2017

This award recognises the individual who has made a significant contribution to the procurement and supply chain sector over the past 12 months.

You cannot formally enter this category. The recipient of this award will be decided after due consideration.


Procurement Excellence Award - Private Sector

This award recognises the private sector organisation that has displayed excellence and/ or innovation in procurement over the past 12 months and can demonstrate the results achieved.


Procurement Excellence Award - Public Sector

This award recognises the public sector organisation that has displayed excellence and/ or innovation in procurement over the past 12 months and can demonstrate the results achieved.


Procurement Excellence Award - SME

This award recognises the Small to Medium Enterprise that has displayed excellence and/ or innovation in procurement over the past 12 months and can demonstrate the results achieved. We define a SME as having fewer than 250 employees.


Procurement Team of the Year

This award recognises the procurement team that has worked best to achieve a significant goal or achievement. The team will have demonstrated initiative, teamwork, creativity and leadership to be a positive force for change and improvement in the procurement function.


Supply Chain Team of the Year

This award recognises the supply chain team that has worked best to achieve a significant goal or achievement. The team will have demonstrated initiative, teamwork, creativity and leadership to be a positive force for change and improvement anywhere in the supply chain.


Green Procurement Project of the Year

This award recognises the project or initiative that can best demonstrate a reduction in the impact on the environment as result of efforts in procurement or the supply chain. This can be on a single project or across a series of projects.


Pharmaceutical Procurement Project of the Year

This category recognises an innovative procurement project by a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company that has been executed or is ongoing over the past 18 months.


International Procurement Project of the Year

This category recognises an innovative project in procurement, or any other function of the supply chain, which was undertaken internationally by an Irish-based organisation.


Best Procurement External Collaboration Project of the Year

This award recognises the collaborative efforts of a team with another external organisation that has led to a best in class procurement solution, operation or process.


Best Cross Function Collaboration Project of the Year

This category recognises a team that has successfully worked with another function from the same organisation to deliver a successful project or initiative in procurement, or any other function of the supply chain. The award is presented based on how collaboration has successfully influenced the outcome.


Excellence in the Procurement of Facilities Management

This category recognises excellence and/or innovation in the procurement of Facilities Management by a private or public sector organisation over the last 18 months.


Excellence in the Provision of Professional Services to Procurement

This award recognises the professional service provider that has provided an outstanding and comprehensive service to the Procurement sector in Ireland over the past 18 months.


Best People Development Initiative

This award recognises the organisation that invests most effectively in the development of their people across procurement, via coaching and mentoring.


CSR Initiative of the Year

The award will recognise outstanding social, ethical, environmental and community-focused initiatives and judges will give praise to organisations that are using CSR or sustainability to gain competitive advantage.


Innovation Award

This award recognises a project, action or initiative that demonstrates true innovation. This may be a creative solution to a challenging issue or a distinct new method or approach.


Best Use of Technology

This award recognises the most effective use of technology in procurement or the supply chain as a whole. This may be via the introduction of a new technological product or by using existing technology more efficiently.


Academic Excellence Award

This award is open to all undergraduate or postgraduate students who have completed a Degree (IIPMM Level 8 equivalent) or postgraduate qualification in the area of Procurement and Supply Management within the past 3 years. It recognises students for his or her outstanding contribution to research as documented in their theses and dissertations.
